- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 cups heavy cream
- 2 cups milk
Instructions
- Refrigerate shaved chocolate and cherries separately.
- In a saucepan, heat heavy cream and milk on medium-low until warm.
- Whisk eggs until fluffy, then gradually mix in sugar.
- Slowly temper the eggs with hot cream mixture, then combine everything back in the saucepan.
- Heat until it reaches 175°F, stirring frequently.
- Chill custard to about 40°F.
- Pour chilled custard into an ice cream maker and churn until soft-serve consistency.
- Fold in shaved chocolate and cherry halves before freezing.
