- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup butter (softened)
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 6 tablespoons heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350F (177C) and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter in increments, then stir in cocoa powder until well combined.
- Mix in sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and water until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to the wet mixture.
- Scoop dough onto the prepared cookie sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes. Allow to cool completely.
- For frosting: Cream softened butter and mix in powdered sugar and cocoa powder alternately with heavy cream until smooth.
- Assemble cookies by spreading frosting between pairs and drizzle melted chocolate on top.
