Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a stand mixer, combine sugar, cake flour, baking powder, and salt. Add egg whites, milk, and vanilla; mix until smooth.
- Gradually mix in softened butter until fully incorporated.
- Divide batter into bowls and add gel food coloring to each for desired shades.
- Pour each colored batter into prepared sheets; bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow cakes to cool completely before frosting with a buttercream made from egg whites, powdered sugar, salt, butter, and vanilla.
