Total Time:41 minute
Ingredients
Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts – 3-4 chicken breasts, adjusted based on serving needs.
Fresh Garlic – 2-3 cloves, finely minced (or to taste).
Hot Honey – about 1/4 cup (store-bought or homemade by mixing honey with red pepper flakes).
Soy Sauce – 2 tbsp (low-sodium recommended).
Fresh Vegetables – Bell peppers, cucumbers, carrots (or any vegetables you prefer for crunch and color).
Rice or Quinoa – About 2 cups cooked, as a base to soak up all the sauce.
Instructions
Prepare the Chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and a bit of garlic powder. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little oil. Cook the chicken breasts for about 5-6 minutes per side until they are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should be 165°F).
Make the Hot Honey Sauce: While the chicken cooks, in a small bowl, combine the hot honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Stir until well mixed.
Assemble the Bowls: Once the chicken is done, slice it thinly against the grain. In a separate bowl, layer your cooked rice or quinoa, then top with the fresh veggies and sliced chicken.
Drizzle the Sauce: Pour the hot honey sauce over the chicken and rice, making sure to coat everything evenly. Garnish with any extra veggies, herbs, or a sprinkle of chili flakes for an extra kick!
Serve: Enjoy your Hot Honey Chicken Bowl right away, with a side of pickled veggies or your favorite dipping sauce for extra flavor.
