- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two round cake pans.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder.
- In another bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the lemon zest and juice.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture while alternating with milk until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chopped strawberries. Pour the batter into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool completely before frosting with lemon icing or whipped cream.
