Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and sugar until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, beat together the oil, eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients while stirring gently to combine.
  5. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  6. While cooling slightly, prepare the frosting by mixing powdered sugar, cocoa powder, butter, and milk until smooth.
