- 1 lb ground chicken or turkey
- 4 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 12 lettuce leaves (Boston or butter lettuce)
- 1/2 cup lightly salted peanuts, chopped
- Fresh ginger and garlic for the sauce
- Optional: rice noodles, cilantro, green onions
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, water, sambal oelek, honey, lime juice, ginger paste, garlic, and green onions. Reserve some sauce for serving.
- Combine the ground chicken and peanuts with most of the sauce; marinate for 15 minutes.
- Soak rice noodles in warm water until softened; drain and rinse.
- In a skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add marinated chicken mixture and sauté until cooked through (about 10 minutes).
- Stir in the soaked noodles and fry for an additional 5 minutes until everything is well combined.
- Spoon the mixture into lettuce leaves and top with reserved sauce, cilantro, green onions, and extra peanuts.
