Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 3–4 fresh lemons (about 1 cup lemon juice)
- ½ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup water
- 2 tsp agar-agar powder
Instructions
- Prepare the strawberries by washing and slicing them. Combine with ½ cup sugar in a bowl and let sit for 15 minutes to create syrup.
- For the lemonade, squeeze lemons into a measuring cup until you have about 1 cup of juice. In a saucepan, heat 1 cup water with ½ cup sugar until dissolved. Stir in lemon juice and simmer gently.
- Sprinkle agar-agar into the hot lemonade mixture while stirring continuously for about two minutes until dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In clear dessert cups, layer the strawberry syrup followed by the lemonade mixture. Repeat until cups are filled, finishing with the strawberry layer on top.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least two hours until set before serving.
