- 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced into thin strips
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 yellow bell pepper, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 medium yellow onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
- ½ cup beef broth (or vegetable broth)
- 1 tsp agar-agar
Instructions
- Slice the beef sirloin against the grain into thin strips.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with a splash of oil. Add the beef strips and cook for about 5 minutes until browned.
- Add the chopped bell peppers and sliced onions to the skillet. Sauté for another 5 minutes until slightly softened.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, minced garlic, and broth. Stir in agar-agar if desired.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the beef and vegetables in the skillet. Simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes to let flavors meld.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles, drizzling extra sauce on top if preferred.
